Frequently Asked Questions - Caravan Hire

How can I book my holiday?

There are three ways in which you can book your holiday: Book online, by telephone or post. Our best (discounted) prices are available for online bookings. To book by phone, call our reservations team on 01592 892200. To book by post, please download a booking form. A provisional online booking will be confirmed by email and we will hold the caravan for 48 hours pending receipt of your WorldPay payment.


When is the main booking office open?

The main booking office is open Monday to Sunday 08.00 - 17:00.


What is included in the cost of my holiday?

The water, gas and electricity are included


How and when can I pay for my holiday?

By credit/debit card, Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Maestro, Solo. We regret we do not accept American Express cards.

By cheque/postal order. Please make your cheque or postal order payable to Pettycur Bay Holiday Park or Leven Beach Holiday Park (depending where you are staying) and write your name, address and booking reference number on the back. All cheques must be received at one month prior to the start of your holiday; any holidays booked within this 1 month period must be paid in full at the time of booking by credit/debit card or cash.

Please note full payment must to be made immediately if you are booking online, we do not offer a deposit for online bookings. On all other booking methods money will be due one month prior to holiday start date and we do not send out receipts for payment of final balances.


Do you take a pre-authorisation by credit card?

Yes we take a swipe of your credit card on arrival for security or a £50 cash deposit. It makes it faster and more convenient for you on checkout if you provide a credit card for pre-authorisation.


Can I take my pet on holiday with me?

No. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets in any of our caravans. There are pet kennels nearby.


Are there age restrictions for groups who wish to visit your parks?

Bookings will normally not be accepted where half or more of the party is aged between 17 and 25. If this is the case you must tell us when you book. We have the right to refuse your booking.


Do you accept all male and female parties?

The holiday parks on this website cater primarily for family holidays. Bookings from all female or all male parties will only be accepted at our absolute discretion. If you wish to book a single sex party you MUST inform us of this and of the ages of all members of your party at the time of booking.

If your booking is accepted we will send you a Booking Confirmation with the details of your party on it. It is your responsibility to ensure that these details are correct and tell us immediately if they are not. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation in a holiday home if your party is not the same as set out on the Booking Confirmation.


Do you provide for guests with accessibility needs?

Unfortunately we do not have caravans with wheelchair accessibility within in the caravan park however, we do have a few caravans with the following: Parking outside the holiday home, Ramp to the doorway.


Can I bring my touring caravan or tent?

Yes. We have a dedicated campsite.


After I have booked, when will I receive my booking confirmation?

You will normally receive confirmation by post within 2 to 7 working days of making your booking.


Can I make changes to my booking?

If you'd like to amend your booking please call our Main Office on 01592 892200.


Can I add extra guests to my booking?

You can add more guests to your booking as long as the maximum capacity of your holiday home is not exceeded. All extra guests must be added prior to you arriving at the holiday park.


What costs will be incurred if I cancel my booking?

Any payments made to your holiday will not be refunded. It may be possible to postpone your holiday until a later date within the season.


What do I do if my contact details have changed?

Can I extend my holiday?

Yes holidays may be extended subject to the availability and payment of the new holiday cost.


When we arrive at the holiday park, what time can I check into my accommodation?

Guaranteed check-in time into your accommodation is 15:00 on the day of arrival (subject to unavoidable delays). However you are welcome to use all facilities on the park should you arrive prior to 15:00.


What do I need to show on arrival in reception?

You will need to show your booking confirmation sheet to check in at reception.


What happens if I arrive late?

If you arrive late you can collect your keys from the Lounge Bar. Please note, arrivals after 23:00, the keys will be handed to the hotel reception. Please advise us at the time of booking if you intend to arrive late.


Can our friends visit us while we are on holiday?

Visitor are welcome to the caravan however only those people listed on the booking form can occupy and stay overnight in your holiday hire home.


Tell me about my holiday home and what is included in my holiday home?

All of our caravan holiday homes include the following: Gas fire in lounge, Fitted kitchen with gas cooker, oven and grill, Bathroom with shower and toilet, Fridge, Colour Television, Free gas and electricity.


Do I need to take my own bed linen and towels with me?

All our accommodation provides blankets or duvets (depending on caravan star rating). However, we ask that you bring your own bed linen, sheets, pillow cases, towels and other bathroom and kitchen necessities.


Does the accommodation have pots/pans and crockery etc?

All our accommodation includes a fully equipped kitchen, with cutlery, crockery and cooking implements for all guests in the accommodation.


Can I request to be allocated to a specific area of the park?

All requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed, if you have a request please email your enquiry or call to speak to an advisor in our contact centre.


What day can I start my holiday?

Our holidays normally run from Friday to Friday, Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday.


Will there be entertainment during off-peak dates?

Most weekends we have entertainment on Friday and Saturday.


Are there children's clubs at this park?

During our peak periods we have a kids club that runs through the week for details please contact the main reception on 01592 892200.


Do children have to be accompanied by adults during the children's clubs?

No but all children must have a wavier form filled out by a responsible adult.


Do I have to pay to use the facilities?

All the leisure facilities have to paid for on a pay as you go basis.


What time do I need to leave on my final day?

On the day of your departure we ask you to vacate your accommodation by 10:00 - you are more than welcome to use all park facilities after this time.


Can I book my next holiday before I leave?

You can book another holiday anytime when you are on-park, just ask at reception and they'll make the booking for you.


When is this park open?

The Park’s main season is from the beginning of March to the End of October. The off season is from the beginning of November to the March. (restrictions in services and access apply at this time off year).


Is there a cash point on the Park?

Yes. It is located in the main complex at the side of the main office.


Where can I park my car at the Park?

All our hire caravans have a hard standing car parking space for one car. Additional cars can be parked at the main complex, which is a short walk from all our hire caravans.


Will there be heating in the accommodation?

In all the 2 and 3 star caravans there is a gas fire in the lounge. All the 4 star, 5 star and 5 star executive caravans are fully central heated.


Will I be next to my friends or relatives?

All requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed, if you have a request your enquiry or call to speak to an advisor in our main office.
